The Research and Advocacy Unit of The IEA provides information about research achievements of The Institute. The Institute’s Research and Advocacy work deals with the production of a three-year research plan of The Institute.
As a Public Policy Institute, the main drive for Research is to generate enhanced information to assist Policy Makers to improve their decision making process to help accelerate socio-economic development and good governance in Ghana. The Research Unit places emphasis on policy-related research and advocacy that address five major issues:
• The Analysis of poverty and gender-related issues dealing with development
• The Analysis of international trade to ascertain factors that can assist in trade expansion,
• The Enhancement of economic growth and opportunities
• Governance and decentralization
• The Advocacy work through which research work undertaken by The Institute is disseminated
to stakeholders.
